July 18^th (Friday). Members of Japan Customs came and lectured on how they generate revenue through taxes and protect Japan. Drug interdiction is a huge part of their job and they talked at length about how drugs harm/impair the body. Since illegal drugs are unregulated, they may not act as advertised and could even be incredibly toxic. Near the end, select students participated in a mock drug search through luggage in a form which is a quiz. It was a bit difficult at first, but eventually the students found all of the hidden “faked drugs”.

7月18日（金曜日）。日本税関職員が来場し、税収を税収として確保し、日本を守っている様子について講義が行われました。
麻薬取締りは税関職員の重要な業務であり、麻薬がどう身体に害を及ぼすか、機能を損なうかについて詳しく説明してくださいました。
違法薬物は規制されていないため、宣伝通りの効果が得られず、非常に毒性が強い場合もあります。
最後に、選抜された生徒たちは荷物の中から麻薬を模擬検査するテストにクイズ形式で参加しました。
最初は少し難しかったようですが、最終的には生徒たちは「疑似麻薬」をすべて見つけ出すことができました。
